Scholarship Fund

The Primate Studies Field School in Rwanda certainly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. However many excited and well-qualified students go through great lengths to gather sufficient funds and still cannot afford this course. For Rwandan university students, the cost is simply prohibitive. Please help by making a tax-deductible donation. Donations accepted online or by check.

Equipment

We often have students that may not be able to afford binoculars or a good camping sleeping pad. Rwandan university students in particular have difficulty finding the funds to purchase such equipment.  Please consider donating your lightly used field equipment or even an e-gift card to an outdoor equipment supplier (e.g., Amazon,  Summit Hut,  REI).

Airline Mileage

Here is a good use of all those accumulated frequent flyer miles!  Round-trip flights to Rwanda cost around $2,500. Your frequent flyer miles can cover portions or the entire itinerary.

  • Simply email us the name of the airline and the number of miles you would like to donate -- PrimateFieldSchool@arizona.edu
  • We will facilitate the transfer of your mileage to an enrolled student's frequent flyer account
  • You will receive a thank you letter from the Primate Studies Field School with information about who your mileage will support.
